The Nankya Galiwango Foundation is a community-driven organization committed to empowering women, youth, and vulnerable groups in Luweero District. Established in 2025 in honor of Nankya Galiwango Edith, a dedicated educator and community leader, the foundation continues her legacy of service by working to uplift the socio-economic conditions of local communities.

Making a Lasting Difference in Luweero District

Key Achievements:

• 1,000+ Students Supported
  Since 2022, the foundation has mobilized resources to support over 1,000 students across multiple schools in Luweero District. These students have received scholastic materials, sanitary items, and clothing to improve their educational experience and well-being.

• 500+ Women and Youth Empowered
  Through our saving groups initiative, we have empowered over 500 women and youth in 5 communities to become financially independent and self-reliant.

• 5 Schools Impacted Annually
  Every year, we partner with schools where Nankya Galiwango Edith once taught, delivering vital supplies and supporting local education programs. In 2024, we expanded to 5 schools in Luweero District, reaching more children with much-needed resources.

• Health and Environmental Outreach
  We’ve reached thousands of individuals through health outreach programs, including mosquito net distributions, health education, and child protection campaigns. We also led initiatives to plant over 2,000 trees in rural areas to promote environmental conservation.

Since its establishment in 2025, the Nankya Galiwango Foundation has made significant strides in empowering communities through education, health, economic empowerment, and environmental conservation. Our mission is to create lasting change, and we are proud of the milestones we’ve achieved in just a short period.

Milestones:

• 2022: First Distribution Event – The foundation launched its first event in Kiziba C/U School, distributing school supplies to over 300 students.

• 2023: Expanded Outreach – We reached Kyetume C/U and distributed materials to 500 students while also holding a health awareness campaign.

• 2024: Partnership Expansion – The foundation expanded its efforts to Buyuki C/U, distributing over 700 sets of scholastic materials.

• 2025: Launch of Saving Groups – We launched our saving groups initiative, reaching 5 communities, and helping them set up sustainable financial models.
